The Church Heritage Museum is housed in the Church of St. Michael the Archangel. The Museum displays the most valuable artifacts from sacred places in the city of Vilnius: the Archcathedral, the Church of St. Peter and Paul, St. Michael’s and St. Teresa’s. The heart of the exposition is from the treasures of the Archcathedral in Vilnius. The relics and monstrances express deep tradition of prayer and are masterpieces of goldsmithing. Inside of the glass vitrines, one can find examples of decorative Church textiles, which demonstrate the wealth of Church history in Lithuania. It’s as if pages of history can be seen through sacral art.
